The Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech) develops high value manufacturing technology and human capital to enhance the competitiveness of Singapore’s manufacturing industry. It is a research institute of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR).

SIMTech has completed more than 880 projects with more than 410 companies, big and small, in the electronics, semiconductor, precision engineering, aerospace, automotive, marine, logistics and other sectors.

Fusionopolis is a science and technology powerhouse for Singapore. It will bring together 1500 research scientists, engineers and technology experts from the public labs of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) as well as the corporate labs to find innovative solutions for the technological and lifestyle challenges faced by society and industry. Conceived as a “world-within-a-city”, Fusionopolis - all of 120,000sqm in a two-tower cum podium complex - is not only equipped with the state-of-the-art scientific infrastructure, but is also a test-bedding hub. It provides scientists and researchers a total environment for work, play, live and learn, and gives them great flexibility to exercise their creativity, engage in experimentation, and bring ideas from mind to market.

Venue: Keppel Shipyard / Keppel FELS

Keppel O&M, integrating the experience and expertise of Keppel FELS, Keppel Shipyard, Keppel Singmarine and its yards overseas, was established in 2002.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Corporation, Keppel O&M is one of the largest offshore and marine groups in the world. It has a strategic network of 20 yards serving regions including Asia Pacific, Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, Caspian Sea, Middle East and the North Sea.

It is the world leading designer and builder of jackups, having built the most number of jackups on order in the last decade. To meet the needs of deepwater drilling operations, it has a suite of proprietary semisubmersible designs.

In Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) and Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) conversions, Keppel O&M is also the world leader. It is a leading shiprepairer for LNG and LPG carriers and a niche player in specialised conversions and construction.
